Please reach out if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Each area of the body has its own healing time. Facial piercings tend to heal the fastest. Keep in mind that everyone's body heals and reacts to piercings in an individualized manner. A general guideline for approximate healing time is:
Everyone's pain tolerance is different, so it's not the best idea to take anyone's answer to this question too seriously. A piercing is over in seconds. Even if you do find it painful, it's over before you can say "ouch".
You should only change your jewelry when your piercing is FULLY healed. Mandatory upsizing or downsizing during the healing process is EXCLUDED.
The general rule is twice daily for new piercings. Neglect can cause unnecessary pain, prolong the healing process, and even cause your piercing to migrate or close.
Excessive Cleaning - Piercings require regular cleaning twice daily is recommended. If the piercing is cleaned excessively it can disrupt the healing process, because the skin will end up becoming dry and irritated.
Wearing Tight-Fitting Jewelry - Body piercings need to breath, because air circulation enhances the healing process. Tight-fitting jewelry doesnt move and it can result in irritation, swelling, or even blood clots.
Removing Jewelry Too Soon - Removing piercing jewelry too early can cause closer of the piercing hole. Let the piercing heal entirely.
Using Harmful Aftercare Products - New piercings can become irritated by harmful chemicals used for cleaning.
Avoid these products
Alcohol: Never use alcohol on your piercing. Alcohol absorbs water away from the skin, harming the epidermal layer's protection.
Hydrogen Peroxide: For piercings, hydrogen peroxide can irritate the piercing site and cause itchiness.
